Thank you to every person that entered the Rejected Art Award, and also to the five thousand viewers from around the world. And a special thanks to the judge (Artist) that did not reject my request to be the judicator of this award, but did request to remain anonymous.

Conditions of  Entry

Prize Money

  • $1000 (NZ dollars) will be awarded by the Judge, on 8th October.
  • Overseas winners will receive Amazon Gift cards
  • Five lots of $100 (NZ dollars) will be randomly distributed throughout the competition.
  • Any costs in transferring money will be deducted from the prize.
  • Winners will be notified by email.

Eligibility:

  • All entries must have been rejected at some point in the past- Either proposals or competition entries (Other than this competition).
  • Entrants must be over the age of 18.
  • Only the Judge and Matt Akehurst are excluded from this competition.

Specifications:

  • Images must belong to the named person entering the competition or to the executor of their estate.
  • Information to be sent in email- Full Name, Email Address, Country, Title of work, Where rejected from.
  • One  image per entry, 800 x 600 px at 72 RGB jpg, (Note: it is possible to combine two or more views of the work into this format)
  • A Rejected proposal equates to one entry, multiple rejected entries to a single competiton can be submitted as seperate entries
  •  Optional information, 50 word text (Approx) for entries to be displayed when image clicked. Price (no commission, interested parties email will be forwarded to the artist).
  • Ten entries allowed per person.
